Because Tyler is the county seat and a metropolitan hub for the entire region, approximately 45,000 cases are filed in this court annually. Its jurisdiction applies to all areas within the city limits, nuisances occurring within 5,000 feet of the city limits, and city-owned properties in its Extraterritorial Jurisdiction. |
